🤖 Step 2 — Add your Telegram bot token

Create a Telegram bot via @BotFather if you haven't already (send /newbot and follow the prompts). Then paste the bot token into your Channel settings.

🔗 Step 3 — Configure your 3CX connection

In your 3CX admin panel, set up a Generic SMS Provider. You will need:

• Inbound URL — the webhook URL 3CX gives you
• Auth Secret — the shared bearer token
• DID Number — the phone number for this channel

Paste these into your Channel settings, and copy the Outbound URL shown in the channel card into 3CX as the SMS provider send endpoint.

🧪 Step 4 — Test your connection & go live

Everything is configured! Now verify it works:

• Click Edit on your channel → click 🔍 Test Telegram
• Click 🔍 Test 3CX — should show a success response
• Send a message to your bot in Telegram — it should appear in your 3CX queue
• Reply from 3CX — it should arrive back in Telegram

🧩 Step 5 — Install the Browser Extension

To play audio and video messages from customers directly in your browser, install the 3CX Bridge Media Player Chrome extension.

Works with Chrome, Edge and all Chromium-based browsers. Once installed, media messages will play inline.
